If during normal patching you upgrade the version of java you may find the AWCM service is failing with Error 109 The Pipe has ended and all ACC’s will not connect.
You will need to edit the AWCM config file (C:\AirWatch\AirWatch
8.1\AWCM\service\AWCMservice.exe.parameters) to point to the correct version of java
Check the system variables are set to the correct version
Also you need to check the version in Tomcat is the correct one, c:\program files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 8.0\bin and run the Tomcat8w.exe to configure.
Restart Tomcat, wait a min or two then restart AWCM service. The ACC’s can take up to 5 mins to re connect.
