Windows 10 build 1709 Native Mail Client Cert Based Auth not working

Update

Windows 10 build 1803 is still having same issue as Windows won’t automatically use the right identity certificate

Problem

  • Windows 10 build 1709 and below

Windows 10 native mail client that is using Cert Based Auth does not currently work because Windows is not selecting the right identity certificate in the native email account config.

By default it is set to automatically select the identity certificate

If you un-tick automatically select and chose the identity certificate and enter any password eg 123 in the password field and save, email will then sync in the Windows 10 native email application via ActiveSync through MobileIron Standalone Sentry Server

Microsoft have confirmed this is a bug and MobileIron are trying to create a workaround fix until Microsoft can release a fix in Windows 10
