Users no longer need to specify the complete path to the discovery URL when enrolling
on Windows devices. They can use only the hostname in order to enroll their Windows Desktop and Windows Phone devices.
- This change is available in 8.3 GA (8.3.0.400) and above.
- This is available on Windows 10 and Windows 8.1 Desktop and Phone.
What’s changed?
Users enrolling via “/deviceservices/discovery.aws” can use just to enroll.
This will simplify the enrollment experience, as they do not have to remember or look up the complete URL.
For example, users enrolling with the URL “demo.awmdm.com/deviceservices/discovery.aws”
can uses simply “demo.awmdm.com”
Windows 10 Mobile enrollment is now improved with this.
