Recover encrypted data from SD card on Android

Hey,
We enforced encryption on our SD cards wirh the Security Policy.
In case we need to recover data from the SD card, is this merely an Android related process or do we need MobileIron to recover the data?
I doubt that encryption keys are generated or stored by MobileIron Core, right?

From previous experience as long as you remove the policy requirement to encrypt data you will be able to decrypt the data on the device manually. (tested on a Samsung J3 Pro (2017)).

Test on your supported devices to ensure they have this capability.
